8 foods for a healthy lymphatic system

The lymphatic system is very important, it helps us to eliminate toxins from the body, to have a strong health and a good general condition. To help the lymphatic system, it is important to pay attention to the diet and eat foods that improve its function.

Your lymphatic system is part of your immune system and has many functions. They include protecting your body from illness-causing invaders, maintaining body fluid levels, absorbing digestive tract fats and removing cellular waste. Blockages, diseases or infections can affect your lymphatic system’s function. Here are eight foods we can include in our diet to keep our lymphatic system functioning at optimum level.

  1. Water

Hydration is essential and helps to improve the lymphatic system. Always remember to hydrate your body enough. Water helps lymphatic fluid to flow easily.

  1. Cranberries

Cranberries are very good, but they must be fresh fruit and not processed or with added sugar. Cranberries help break down excess fat that the lymph vessels will remove. It is important to eat fresh fruit and avoid processed, sweetened and pasteurized options.

  1. Green vegetables

Green vegetables contain achlorophyllous, which has cleansing properties. The most suitable are kale, spinach and broccoli. Achlorophyllous, the green nutrient that captures sunlight, has strong cleansing properties. Beneficial effects on the blood and, therefore, on the lymphatic fluid. Do your best to eat kale, spinach or broccoli as often as possible!

  1. Nuts and seeds

Essential fatty acids are found in nuts and seeds, which help fight inflammation as well as absorb vitamins and minerals. Essential fatty acids, the healthy fats found in chia, nuts, olive oil, coconut oil, coconut and avocado, play a very important role in fighting inflammation. They also strengthen vascular tissue, help absorb fat-soluble vitamins and minerals, and help eliminate fat-soluble toxins.

  1. Garlic

Garlic is another food that should not be missing from our diet, because it strengthens the immune system and helps eliminate toxins. But it is good fresh, not in powder form. Garlic strengthens the immune system and fights germs. Improves circulation and helps eliminate toxins. It supports the function of the lymphatic system and has antibacterial properties. I only recommend the use of fresh garlic.

  1. Ginger

Ginger has beneficial effects on digestion and circulation, two systems that are directly related to the lymphatic system. A very tasty spice, it would be great if we included ginger in as many of the dishes we eat. Again, ginger root, not ginger-flavored store powders.

  1. Turmeric

Helps reduce inflammation and improve circulation. All this helps to support the processes of the lymphatic system.

  1. Citrus

Citrus fruits help hydrate the body, are rich in antioxidants and powerful enzymes and help cleanse and protect the lymphatic system.
